George II Primitive Chair
Description:
A good example of a rustic Georgian splat back oak farm archair dating from around 1760
and is in ‘as found condition’
The original joints are pegged mortice and tenon with the seat planks being held in place with square handmade nails. It has several very aged coats of finish. Overall it’s in good condition with lots of small marks and wear to commensurate with age. There are signs of historic woodworm that have been treated on all exposed areas.
